So far its been a busy week
Monday we had our first class at Gymboree. Alex had a great time checking out all the kids and all the new play equipment. We were the first to arrive and just so happened the second Mom was someone I knew from the zoo-small world. So Audrey showed Alex the best ways to climb through the tunnels and over the bridges. Our regular day will be Wednesdays but we signed up for bonus enrolment so we can sit in on any class as long as theres space. They have music classes there too so we're going to try and hit one of those next week.
Tuesday we went to Storytime at Borders. This week Alex met another 14-month old named Issabelle and they were both more interested in running around the store than listening to stories. Alex did come back though to sing "If Your Happy and You Know It", its one of her favorites. We're working on "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes"-she has head and toes, its just the in between parts that are giving her trouble, too much fun to skip right to the toes. We finished the afternoon off with a nice lunch with Daddy.
Wednesday it was lunch at McDonalds and playing on the slides there. Then it was over to a giant Childrens Resale where Alex got a toddler bed (I'm preparing for that first time she crawls up and over the crib), a Little Tikes Climber with Slide, Parents wooden activity center, Little People farm accessories (the farm is her favorite and yes I admit it, I'm addicted to Little People), CDs (always need more music to dance to), Books (We read several a day so always looking for new ones to hold her attention), and a few new outfits (a girl can never have too many clothes). Luckily I consign in the sale as well so I should make what I spent and then some.
