Easter
We held off on Easter since Dad was out of town. So instead of finding her basket in a pretty dress, she got to roll out of bed Monday morning before Dad left for work and go in search of her Easter goodies in her nightie. Not only did she have a basket from the Easter Bunny (aka Mom and Dad), but she also had her basket from Mimi and Poppa, Grandpa and Grammy, and Uncle David. What a lucky little girl!
Monday we had lunch with Dad and then went to the Butterfly House, or tried to go to the Butterfly house. Turns out Monday is the only day its closed. Instead they've opened a brand new playground in the park and Alex decided to try and tire out Mimi and Uncle David. She had a blast on the swings and slides for over an hour and still cried when we left.
Tuesday we had lunch with Dad again and our usual storytime at Borders.
Wednesday we went to Grants Farm. It was a beautiful day. We saw at least 5 baby clydesdales which were just adorable. Alex liked the Tram ride through the park but her favorite was feeding the goats. She bottle fed them milk and only tried the bottle herself once.
After Grants Farm we went to Gymboree. Lots more peopel showed up for class this week. Alex is still warming up to it. I'm going to try and hit a couple of extra classes in the next few weeks.
Wednesday night Alex had so much fun having everyone take turns chasing her around the house. She gets those little shoulders hunkered down, thinking it makes her run faster. She ran and ran squealing with laughter until she couldnt even stand up anymore.
Mimi and Uncle David left on Thursday. It was so nice having them down for a visit. Alex really likes David. We took it easy that day, not doing much of anything.
Friday we hit a couple of garden clubs plant sales. We got a few plants for in the front yard and a few for the back. Didnt find anything for along side the garage (thanks to Mimi and David the roses are finally gone-Thank You!) so we might look at the garden center on Sunday. Dads out of town for a game so that will keep us busy.
Saturday we hit some garage sales (big surprise). Alex got some Groovy Girls, books, and Gymboree clothes, and a swing. We also picked up a water table which is going to provide hours of entertainment on those hot summer days. If today is any indication, she may have to be in a bathing suit to play with it.
