Busy, Busy, Busy
She's been a moving and a shakin this week. We tried Storytime again on Tuesday. She loved doing the songs, but had no patience to sit for the stories. We'll just have to stay sitting on the perimeter and I'll take her away to run around during stories and just come back for the singing and dancing. Wednesday was Gymboree with a guest instructor, she was amazed by how strong Alex was on the monkey bars and cracking up at the silly faces Alex makes during the freeze dance. Thursday we were going to try and hit the storytime at Barnes and Noble but Alex had a breakdown over having to put pants on before leaving the house. That led to a 30 minute tantrum under the table so no storytime. Instead we blew bubbles, did some coloring and watched Jack's Big Music Show while dancing with our maracas. Friday Alex helped me do laundrey and clean up around the house and then when Da got home early from his last day at work (old work that is, back to the new job on Monday) we went up to Gymboree for open playtime and played for more than an hour. It was packed with kids and she had a blast. Saturday we went to IHOP for breakfast then had a play class at Gymboree (WOW, 4 times in one week, new record) then we went out to Suson Farm to see the animals. We took her bag of play animals with so we could show her the play one and the real one, she thought that was pretty cool. The miniature horses were her favorite. Sunday was Da's birthday and we celebrated at Dave and Busters. Alex absolutly loved it! She wanted to go, go, go. She thought all the games were great, buttons to push, balls to throw, lights, music-WOW. Plus the fact that she got to hold all the prize tickets, she thought that was pretty cool. Of course, in the end, she only had enought tickets for a rubber ball, but heh, she had fun and so did we.
