Its the Holiday Season
We kicked off the Holidays by going to the Thanksgiving Day Parade. It was lots of fun with bands, floats, and balloons, but it was cold. Alex had a great time though, kids never feel the cold. We did the Members Preview of the train show they do every year at the Botanical Gardens. Alex got alot of compliments on her elf skirt. We made a mini gingerbread village. I think Alex ate as much icing and candies as she put on the houses. We put up our decorations. Thanks goodness for non breakable ornaments. Alex I'm not worried about anymore, but Sherwood is another story. Chance loves laying on the tree skirt, Shirwood loves laying about 3/4 of the way up the tree. The excitement of our holidays has been that "Jingles" our house elf has been promoted to a junior reindeer keeper in training so he brought his reindeer with him. Alex was absolutely thrilled to find it waiting for her when she got back from the football game with Daddy. She's very excited that Jingles got to come back for another season with us. Every morning, she races down the stairs to see what he's been up to during the night. Jingles did have to report to Santa that Alex had been rather naughty though. On the evening of December 1st, I heard some rustling behind the couch-She had snuck down the chocolate advent calendar and eaten the chocolate for everyday except one. So not good.
